The Right To Hate

You've got to be taught before it's too late,
Before you are six or seven or eight,
To hate all the people your relatives hate,
You've got to be carefully taught
~ South Pacific, Richard Rodgers
A new movement among fundamentalist Christians is suing for the right to hate. They don't call it that. They say that businesses and universities that restrict their homophobic utterances are violating their free speech and freedom of religion. Basically, they claim that it is intolerant to be against intolerance. I thought to show some examples, but the vileness of their Faith of Hate was too much for me. When in doubt, offer poetry.
The fix was in but you made sure
Good Christian
and where you had a soul is only hate
~ Diogenes Once Sighted Must Go Blind,
poem by Richard Wells
